Veronika is the  Founder of the International Society of Counselling and Clinical Supervisors (ISOCCS) and Basa Education and Counselling Services (BECS), and a current committee member.

 

She is an independent researcher, author, educator, counsellor, supervisor, and a course designer and developer within the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).

 

The course designer, developer and course author of the (69828) Certificate IV in Counselling Supervision (2007-2010), the first nationally accredited course in counselling supervision in Australia.

 

The course designer, developer and course author of the (69795) Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision (2010-2015), a nationally accredited course at AQF level 8.

PRESIDENT - Dr JOHN TOUSSAINT 

John has worked in the human services and community sectors for over 20 years in both clinical and executive management capacities, and has developed leading-edge practices that strengthen the family and community. 

He has extensive experience as a leader in the field of health science, and has developed, managed and delivered a range of evidence-based programs and services, spanning health, counselling, education, and community engagement. 

 

John is an experienced family therapist, researcher and author on relationships. He has served as a consultant to government, business and industry, and also serves as the Head of Department, Neuropsychology and Behavioural Studies at the Medical Register of Australia. 

John has formal qualifications in psychology and holds a PhD in Health Science (Charles Sturt University). He has a strong advocacy mindset for equality, human rights and social justice, and works towards a community that embraces and maintains mental, social and emotional well being for all people.

VICE PRESIDENT - VACANT

SECRETARY - ALEX COLLINS 

Alex holds a Bachelor in Counselling Psychology (USA) a Diploma of Professional Counselling (Australia) and is a qualified Counselling Supervisor and Mental Health First Aid trainer for the general public, nurses and medical students.   With over fifteen years experience in individual, couple and children counselling Alex has been working as a counselling supervisor and clinical educator in North Queensland since 2004.   To date Alex has written more than ten professional development sessions and presented over twenty five across Central and North Queensland on topics ranging from CBT to Play and Expressive therapies.  

 

Alex has been employed at Centacare Mackay in the role of Program Manager for counselling supervision and training since July 2010.   Conversant in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, ACT, Strength's based and Narrative, since 2011 Alex has been specialising in Gestalt therapy applications and Mental Health First Aid training.
